Summer's Thinking Time

I expect many of us do have those quieter reflective moments in the Summer Days where we think, what am I doing? Wouldn’t it be great, if? If only? Maybe I should start….

It’s a bit like the bit before a New Year & with the New School Year perhaps that’s why we think of August as being the month of thinking, vision casting and intentional planning to look to then start afresh or something new come September.

With everything going on in the world, maybe a part of the thinking is related to lifestyle, some of the choices we might look to make, to try new things and different ways.

I know it might sound silly, but here, we’ve been a one car family for over a year now. We aren’t exactly city based or well connected public transport-wise, but we’ve made it work. Yes both of us are fortunate to work quite flexibly & some days we do drop one another off as buses don’t tend to work or be practical for my business. But where we can, we are starting to choose more thoughtfully where we go.

We’ve also been increasingly buying more & more of the food we eat from local markets and independents, minimising any supermarket shop. You’ll typically find me sharing much of my produce picked up at markets on my Instagram grid or stories.

Another result of Summer reflections here has been the introduction (having tested it ourselves for some time) of household, organic living products as part of my pop-up offering out & about. Many of you interested in making these swaps to certified organic in your own homes. The Minty Laundry Liquid & Anti-bacterial Surface Spray have been the favourites so far!
